You know, I feel like could post all day and still not catch up. We have been doing so many interesting things lately! Case in point: We took the boys to the dentist. Whee!
Hugo checked his blood pressure done while he waited. It was the same all 8 times he did it: 100/60.
Max read about periodontal disease. Disgusting in any language.
Alek did the "purple stuff sticks to the dirty spots" test. Epic fail.

She's checking his brushing technique here. Finding it wanting, I presume. I liked the Kitty-chan mirror.
The two hygenists were beautiful and sweet-smelling. Later, the boys were discussing their eyelashes. Was it mascara? Fake lashes? In any case, they were smitten.Hugo before:
And after. (He looked better in person)
For Alek's "after" picture, he channeled Fregley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
After the dentist, we went to a great Italian place. No photos...we were busy eating everything.

Then on Saturday, we stopped by the Kyoto Foreigner Festival. I mean, Kyoto Beer Festival. Gaijin came out of the woodwork for this one. The beer was tasty! Lots of microbrews from all over.
You know, so much is different in Japan. Do you see what is happening here? A line at the MEN's room! No line at the ladies'! What is up with that, boys and girls?
This food booth was selling horumon. You know, entrails. We passed.
We did have some hot dogs and bagels, though.
After this festival, we walked East on Sanjo and found a Mexican place. Alek is eating a quesadilla here (scraping off the sour cream).
The good news? They played the whole Rodgrigo and Gabriela album while we were here, and the nachos were only 500 yen!
The bad news? The nachos included only nine chips. Count 'em.
Saturday in Kyoto....the weather was beautiful. Wish you were here.
One of the worst parts of being a parent is taking the kids to the dentist. Amen.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best parts of life, however, is nachos!
